#London2Buja

Throughout 2023/24 we are raising money to build a new home for New Generation in Burundi. Alongside individual and corporate donations, many of our supporters are being sponsored to cycle/run/walk/swim the equivalent of the 10,000 km between London and Bujumbura.

Street Action was founded in 2007 as a small response to the global urban phenomenon of street children; children who find themselves living on the streets of cities around the world.

Street Action believes that no child should have to live on the streets and is a UK charity that partners with local agencies in Africa working directly with street children. It is inspired and motivated by the voice and pioneering strategies of its African partners. We work with organisations where former street children play meaningful roles in both day-to-day activities, strategy development and advocacy.

Who Are New Generation?

For the last five years we have worked exclusively with New Generation, a pioneering project in Burundi. New Generation believe children and young people are the future and hope of Burundi. It is a pioneering, nation-building programme, mentoring leaders of integrity for the future Burundi, with street-connected children as its focus.
